# Gander privacy policy

Gander does not collect, store or transmit any data. Everything runs on your Mac.

## The Gander app

Gander reads a file only when you preview it in Quick Look or when Finder asks for its thumbnail, and only to draw that preview on your Mac. Nothing you preview is stored, copied or sent anywhere.

The app and its extensions contain no networking code and no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting libraries. The preview and thumbnail extensions run in Apple’s App Sandbox without network access.

## Your settings

Your choices in the Gander window, such as which previews are on, are saved on your Mac in the app’s own container. They never leave your Mac, and deleting Gander deletes them.

## Apple

Gander is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple handles purchases and downloads under its own privacy policy. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your Mac’s settings, Apple may pass crash reports to us through App Store Connect. They don’t contain your files.

## This website

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data, such as IP addresses and browser types, to deliver and protect the site.

## Children

Gander collects no data from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
